The Colours of the Bible 2018 Competition will open in February 2018. The information below is from 2017.

Colours of the Bible 2017

Families in the Bible

Families are crucial in the Bible—in the history of Israel and especially in the unfolding story of God’s redemption for the nations. It was through the family of Adam and Eve that God started humanity, through the family of Noah that God gave mankind a clean slate, and through the family of Abraham and Sarah that God chose to bless the nations—and those three families are just in the first book!

What you want to do for your art piece is up to you! You can show different types of family relationships (parents & children, grandparents & grandkids, brothers & sisters), look at family trees (like the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1:1-17), or explore different parts of family life during the Biblical times (how they lived at home, what their society was like, etc.) – the possibilities are endless!

We want you to read the Bible for yourself and tell us about the aspects of family life that interest you. Transform these reflections into beautiful works of art that bring love and hope to the lives of people today.
